The combination of apples and rosemary may seem strange, but I assure you this sweet savoury combination makes for a zestful addition to oatmeal, yogurt, or warm by itself.
Ingredients:
2 medium cooking apples (such as Cortland or mutsu) chopped into ½" cubes
2 rosemary sprigs, coarsely chopped
Juice and zest of one lemon
Zest of one orange or lime
½ teaspoon allspice
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients in medium sauce pan, warm over medium heat.
2. Continue to stir and cook until apples become slightly soft, about 4–5 minutes.
3. Serve warm or cold.
